I love working remotely. I would accept remote learning for my fields of interest - math and computer science.
But for fine art, music, experimental sciences, medicine?
Also, I was a very studious kid, I loved studying math and yet still I remember university for the people I met as much as the curriculum.
Worse, I don't think I would have had the discipline, then, to work remotely. And as I said, I was hyperfocused on math.
I think a lot of people, perfectly competent or even brilliant people, will not be able to learn and work that way. They will simply fail and go to the wall.
It's a disaster. Like so much of the twenty-first century.
