I now live in the Netherlands, and I assure you that workers do not control the means of production here.

This place is just about as capitalist as the US, except that taxation is a bit higher (for the average person) but the government provides high quality goods and services to its citizens, free or cheaply.

That's a lot better!, but it doesn't make the Netherlands "socialist". As you say, it's a capitalist social democracy.
