I should say that I am not particularly impressed with New York City’s response either, but New York City didn’t “turn itself into an epicenter”.

You will notice, yes, that I chose California as my baseline example, entirely because I know that Conservatives have this crazed hatred for the city?

So why are you talking about New York City? Answer: see above.

This idea you have, that blaming everyone else is going to work forever?

It won’t. The history books will say, “The United States had 3x/5x/10x the death rate of the rest of the developed world because of its incoherent and delusional leader Donald Trump.”

Trump is the leader. Trump is obviously fumbling it. The deaths continue. Next week, another ten thousand dead.

Did you see any of these press briefings? The man is the laughing stock of the entire world! That sound bite of him talking about bleach and ultraviolet is going to be shown to students for the next two hundred years as an example of how to fuck up the response to a pandemic.

How can one look oneself in the mirror with a team that constantly fails and then constantly blames its failures on everyone else — and then goes on to fail again? It baffles me.

“I didn’t fuck up — it was Obama, it was New York City, it was China, it was the media, it was everyone else’s fault but mine!” Who could respect that whiny, spineless attitude to the slightest degree?
