I started this article by rooting for you, but at no point to you acknowledge the fact that the only reason you could do this is because you are rich.

For your average American, dealing with an unemployed husband by flying off to Costa Rica is utterly inconceivable.

You aren't even aware that it's your wealth that allows you to make such extravagant decisions. The word "money" doesn't even appear in the article.

By the time I got to the bottom, where this article is labelled "Fearless She Wrote", I'd had enough. You are "fearless" because you have buckets of money slopping around, not because you are better than other people.

This isn't even jealousy. I haven't worked for years — I'm writing a book. I feel tremendously privileged but I never forget that I am insanely lucky — not one single hour.

I'm totally sick of reading rich, self-absorbed people writing about how "fearless" they are because they have enough money to satisfy their every whim without the slightest risk.
