I think "horrifying" is a better word.

The building dominates the skyline and yet at any given time it's mostly empty of life. The owners are a tiny number of astonishingly rich people, the same group that is steering our planet to ecological devastation, and none of them live there for more than a few days a year.

It is a symbol of selfishness, greed, and compulsive consumption.
