More than a few windows on the screen, and suddenly you're in piles of clutter.

So I'm very much on board with "more is less".

Still - no external monitor? That's going too far. My 15" MacBook's screen isn't very big. I have one external monitor, which I use vertically to maximize my view out my windows.

As a writer - sure. As a computer programmer - no. Many programmers I know have dozens of windows up at one time - I have maybe half a dozen but that's still too big for that tiny laptop screen.
