If? How would you know? You are in fact an affluent white person. Knowing the trendy jargon word BIPOC gets you precisely poser points here and nothing else.
Here's the original quote:
"Middle-class, predominantly white parents will be creating academically enriching experiences for their children out of school, while lower-income parents, who are disproportionately likely to be families of color, cannot in the same way."
What's offensive about that? Why - nothing at all. We have generations of studies of poverty showing that poor parents are unable to provide an academically sustaining environment for their children - because they are poor.
Having money helps you give your children a better education, particularly in the United States. This claim isn't "offensive" in the slightest.
So why are you yelling? Because you want to get your rage on.
Because you have no sense of perspective. We're in a middle of a literal genocide of Black Americans and the community, here's someone trying to mitigate the problem with detailed, practical, operative advice, and you have the bare-faced effrontery to be yelling at the writer, a Black woman, for her tone.
I think you just like showing off to people of color how much more progressive you are than they.
It's your comment that's the deeply offensive thing. Go away, arrogant white lady, and stop wasting the time of people who are actually trying to get something practical done.
