If this is an attempt at comedy, it’s poorly-thought-out.

In my lifetime alone, we’ve killed a majority of the world’s non-domesticated mammals; a majority of all the sea creatures bigger than about my fist; a majority of the flying insects.

Every form of consumption continues to increase exponentially. Every form of waste continues to increase exponentially.

And over all, the climate emergency — which we are also doing everything in our power to increase.

Our heirs are completely fucked, because our generation refuses to reign in their consumption to the slightest degree (at least partly because of fatuous simpletons who portray a glorious future for us with infinitely growing consumption for the rest of time). Your idea that they will have it “so goddamned good” is equal parts irresponsible and just pathetic.
