I'm at a loss for words. Probably "horrifying" is closest to my reaction.

The worst part is this - a majority of the involuntary celibate people I've known have been women. And we're not talking losers - we're talking warm, successful, attractive women who had the bad luck to not get a permanent partner before they reached "un certain âge", and that's because in Western culture, a woman's peak desirableness is around 23 years of age. It's a travesty.

And yet, as usual, the actual losers who, let us be blunt, go out of their way to be unlovable are also convinced their loserdom is due to "everyone else".

Thanks for writing this rather grim but necessary article.
