I’m enjoying this article, but we’re rapidly rendering the world uninhabitable at 7.5 billion. It seems pretty likely that the stability number is around a billion or so.

And yes, that means billions will die. People have a choice every day and most of them choose short-term pleasure over the biosphere. This won’t stop until much of the planet stops being habitable.
