I'm really enjoying this so far, and (as an old white guy) I'd be thrilled to work for you, but also as an old guy, let me tell you - seasoned professionals are just as likely to be bullshit artists as anyone else.

If you start to work with a new person you have never worked with before, then you always have to assume that there's a good chance that they are incompetent, crazy, hostile, or somehow will otherwise do a bad job - maybe just because they're having a bad time through no fault of their own, I hasten to add.

And this is true of anyone at any stage. Some people are incredibly well-organized and competent starting from their first job. Some very respected professionals have either coasted on one great achievement, decades before, or lost interest in the material, or have gotten to where they were through being an antisocial personality.
