I’m running out of patience to deal with lickspittles, but let me try.
Our entire ecosystem is being destroyed by industrial capitalism, to the benefit of a tiny number of extremely rich people. Rather than prevent the destruction of our biosphere, rather than contribute to the common good so we can all have a future, their plan is to continue to ravage the natural world to their great profit and then use their ill-gotten gains to protect themselves from the logical consequences of their depraved indifference.
Of course, it’s delusion. There is no planet B, and their gated enclaves and survival condos will only last a tiny bit longer than the rest of us.
“The prudent”. That’s the phrase there that really boils my piss, because the implication is that the rest of us are “imprudent,” when the fact is that 99.9% of humanity cannot afford a three-million dollar survival condo and private fire-fighting services. If you had any intellectual integrity, you’d be embarrassed by your word choice there, but I shan’t hold my breath waiting for a correction.
The deliberate destruction of our biosphere by a tiny number of psychopaths is by far the greatest crime in the history of the planet. If there were a video camera us showing the world fifty years from now, all the security forces in the world would not prevent the billionaires from being ripped limb from limb, particularly the fossil fuel oligarchs, but unfortunately problems of this magnitude occurring over decades are very hard for humans to understand because we are evolutionarily disposed to prioritize immediate issues over longer-term ones.
Rational responses solicited, but please be warned that if your reply is some variation of, “The world’s scientists are conspiring to present a false picture of the world,” you will be brutally mocked.
