In fact, Jesus never said any such thing at all, as you go on to concede in the next paragraph.

If this teaching were so important, why did Jesus not mention it at all?

If the Mosaic Code were so important, why do we ignore most of it?

Do you keep kosher? Do you perform sacrifices?

Of course you don't. You choose the parts you want, and throw away others. This is not consistent with the Bible being the word of God. If it were God's word, why would you pick some parts and ignore others?

There's a simple explanation - you hate gays, because that's the sort of person you are, and you look through the Bible for a verse to justify your hatred.

But you like cheeseburgers, so you ignore the instructions about kosher on the same page.

If you really believed that the Bible were the literal word of God, you'd be forced to accept every word. YOU don't even believe the things you claim to believe. For shame!

The proud moral emptiness and hatefulness of most Christians is why the religion is dying. I'm proud to live in a country where most people have no religious beliefs - a country which, I might add, treats its citizens a whole heck of a lot better than the US does.
