Employers generally don't want anyone else to have fun, because that might mean you aren't working at 110% of your potential! All these team building exercises aren't to have fun, but simply to make you a more cooperative worker.

Of course, as a white guy I can just say, "Bah, humbug," to these forced recreational activities, and no one cares. If you are non-white and choose not to participate, you're "standoffish".
