Lots of things that are bad for you will give you energy and bounce!

Keto diets are great to lose weight, particularly if your weight is causing you other health issues, but in the long term, they dramatically increase your mortality rate.

Here’s an example which says:

Low carbohydrate diets might be useful in the short term to lose weight, lower blood pressure, and improve blood glucose control, but our study suggests that in the long-term they are linked with an increased risk of death from any cause, and deaths due to cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, and cancer

There are many other such studies. (Make sure you are looking at actual peer-reviewed studies and not a web article by some random person….)
