Musk in particular strikes me as a profoundly unrealistic and antisocial individual.

His plan for dealing with climate change can be summed up as, “Let the Earth die, and I and a handful of other billionaires will move to Mars” — that is, a dark, cold, arid, lifeless desert with almost no resources of any type.

Somehow he has defined, “Killing the only biosphere we have ever known, together with 99.9% of mankind, and the remaining few millions live in pressurized huts until centuries or millennia from now we create an environment that is about as pleasant as Greenland is today,” as a win for humanity.
