Running an old conservative pro-war pro-fossil fuel Democrat together with a pro-police prosecutor robbed the actual left of any stake in the game beyond "Dump Trump", and running a black woman as VP alienated "centrists", because your "centrist" American is a racist, and even more, a sexist. (No, I'm not an American at all.)

Oh, don't get me wrong. We desperately, desperately want Trump to go down and die in jail.

But the Democrats have always been much more interested in checking off a lot of boxes than winning the election.
