No, it doesn't!

Physicists have a deterministic view of the future — certainly, what’s going to happen is predestined.

No, they don't! In fact, quantum mechanics seems to show exactly the reverse - that at least some events are completely random and inherently unpredictable.

There is nothing in your future that you can change.

Physics doesn’t say this at all. And no one acts this way either. If a steamroller were slowly coming toward you, you would not say, “I’m doomed, I can’t change the future!”, sit there and get squashed. You would step out of the way and not dirty the street with your squish.
