Not at all — I memorized that admonition, when I first heard it during the Reagan Administration, and told everyone I could.

Unfortunately, the Democrats have used this same story over and over and over again in the last thirty-five years.

I was so relieved about Obama being elected that I cried. And then he accomplished nothing. He had a year with the Presidency, the House, the Senate and the Supreme Court, and he got nowhere. The ACA was the best America got — a BandAid on a sucking chest wound — and while it was marginally better than what was there, it folded like a cheap suit at the first stress.

Obama started many new wars and skirmishes — pushed fracking — allowed Wall Street to plead guilty to thousands of serious felonies and escape all serious penalties. And worst, he allowed the Bush administration to escape their genocidal crimes without even an investigation.

Without Obama, there would be no Trump. Had Obama delivered to the poorest 50% of Americans, they wouldn’t have been desperate for any change, even destructive change; had he not shit all over the rule of law, if he had investigated the war crimes, a criminal like Trump would never have thought to run for President.

Obama made it clear — no crime a President commits will ever result in consequences. Bush’s Iraq War was based entirely on deliberate lies; it killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people, more Americans than 9/11, cost trillions of dollars, and failed completely in every way.

No wonder Trump zoomed in on the Presidency! “I can steal as much as I want and there will be no consequences. If they didn’t say shit to Bush for killing 5,000 Americans, they won’t say shit to me.”

Yes. Trump needs to leave. But Biden is a terrible, terrible, terrible candidate. He basically refuses to answer questions about a Green New Deal. Watching the US medical system collapse has convinced him that socialized medicine is bad — what is wrong with him?

Biden’s whole strategy has been to say nothing and do nothing — while Trump kills Americans by the thousands by refusing to act on COVID, Biden’s announced strategy is to be out of the public eye.

Finally, if Trump refuses to accept the results of the election, I don’t believe that Biden has the guts to fight back.

I moved to America by choice. I stayed for thirty years. By the end of that time, I concluded that America was unsalvageable, and my wife and I left (she, an American, was even more wanting to escape than I). Biden convinces me that I was quite right to leave — that America will collapse completely.

You know, you still have a chance. The DNC isn’t for a few weeks. Democrats could actually demand a dynamic candidate who promises real change, not a doddering old simpleton. But you won’t.
