What about temperature, where we start from absolute zero, not absolute one?

In C-like languages, there is this nice equality:

&a[i] = &a + i

which your proposal would break.

Why am I answering this? It's just silly. Even if you convinced a bunch of people it was a good idea, we'd never change any existing programming language, as it would break almost every program in existence.
