Of course, I hate this whole idea of suppressing textbooks because they might say something about the "Negro Problem" as the Republicans no doubt call it behind closed doors, if they are even this polite, and this is compounded by the fact I have a degree in math.

All these articles disappoint me, though, because I never get to see the details. What could possible be the details that get some math banned and not others?

It can't be Arabic numerals, or they'd all be banned. Do they have Black people in the story problems? Story problems that start, "A gay couple has three kids"? O NOESES!

There are a few entertaining "adult" math problems like this classic. While this would perhaps be grounds for banning, I find it unlikely people are really putting these into text books.

I guess I'll never know.
