At the end, the main protagonist, God, kills almost everyone and destroys the whole Earth. (When I say, "Kill," it's, "Torture for eternity," but you know what I mean.)

And Christians adore this idea. "All those liberals and coloreds, into the fiery pit! We get to live forever and gloat while they scream! We'll show you suckers what a God of Love is really like!"
