There is tons of great music being made today. However, the radio and the pop charts are a vast wasteland of crud.

Objectively, the pop charts have contained measurably simpler and simpler music for the last thirty years. Record labels simply dumbed-down their catalog.

Simple solution - go out and find it yourself.
