One of these things is not like the others.

As someone who listens to all three of these, calling classical music “repetitive type music” isn’t at all true to the fact. Classical music slows down and speeds up according to the choice of the conductor or performer. Generally, passages are repeated at most twice, but even then there are subtle differences between the two performances. There are specific themes and solos which never repeat, or repeat in a different way.

Classical music can be good for working to if either you know the material extremely well, or you’re the sort of person who doesn’t listen closely to musical themes. But after decades of listening to Chopin, I still can’t listen to it while I’m working, not just because it absorbs so much attention after all this time, but that it makes me weep.
