People of color are dying by the thousands right now from COVID-19, at far higher rates than whites. Businesses owned by people of color are devastated - again, at far higher rates.

Given we are in a deadly emergency, we progressives should have just two priorities:

* Battles where we can significantly improve people's lives

* Battles we have some chance of winning

Changing "slave" to "enslaved person" fails on both these counts.

So it doesn't even clean up the language properly.
