Pff. The difference between Trump and previous Republicans is only that he says out loud what others thought.

Trump is terrible, but look at the damage that was inflicted on the country by George W. Bush — who started a war that killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people, more Americans than 9/11, and cost trillions — a war which turned out to be caused by deliberate lies to feather Dick Cheney’s own pocket (and we also have 9/11, anthrax, Afghanistan, failure to catch Bin Laden, Katrina and the Global Financial Crisis, all on his watch).

It goes all the way back to Nixon, who illegal bombed Cambodia and Laos, countries that the US was never at war with, accomplishing no military objectives but killing tens of thousands of people and destabilizing Cambodia, likely leading to the evil Khmer Rouge. That same Nixon deliberately prolonged the Vietnam War in order to be re-elected — how many Vietnamese and American GIs died because of that selfish decision?

The Republican Party has been irrational and evil for generations now.

Trump’s at least a breath of fresh air because he lets everyone see him being irrational and evil so they can start to think for themselves, but you as a Republican have been supporting exactly the same sort of evil incompetence your whole political life — the endless failed wars, the looting of the economy by the 0.1%, none of these things ever bothered you, it’s just the tone of voice you’re objecting to.
