Quite so!

I cribbed this bit from a very funny book I read in the 1970s, an engineer debunking a lot of the woo theories of the time. I can't find the book or I'd credit it, something about "leaky chariots" (Chariots of the Gods, etc)

He really laid the sarcasm on thickly, it was nice to see an engineer with a social conscience.

He also made a version of the famous Baghdad Batteries and was able to use it to electroplate a thin layer of gold onto lead.

"Honey, that bracelet we got at the Pyramids turned my arm green!" The author's joke, again.
