A completely unspecific poll is conducted. The Brexiteers tell a huge number of whopping lies and win this unspecific poll that was billed as purely informational by a tiny margin.

And then they proceeded to continuously tell a pack of lies about the thing, mock the EU over and over and over again by lying to them, and finally produce an incredibly worst-case Brexit, without ever having another referendum after the non-binding informational referendum in 2016.

Oh, there was an election in there, where the whole election was about completely made-up accusations of anti-semitism, and not at all about Britain's fucking future.

Of course, they didn't let Britons actually vote on the terms of leaving, because they know that no one would have supported it.

What this means is that lying, cheating, smearing and looting are the ways to win in "Democracy", at least in the UK.
