Radon is an element — in fact, it’s a noble gas and does not form molecules except very short-lived ones under extreme conditions. Ultraviolet light will not have any effect on radon gas.

Also, Goswami didn’t “develop” PECO, which has been around since the 1930s. Goswami himself doesn’t seem to be claiming that his system deals with radon, or that he invented PECO.

His system seems promising, but even if these things work, they are simply a way for the top 10% to minimize the damage to themselves. Most people simply can’t afford a $799 air purifier — and what about the damage to the planet and the ecosystem from air pollution? Are we going to go around putting little air purifiers around the necks of endangered species?
