Rather amazing you could write a long article about flying without ever using the words "climate" or "environment".

Has it not occurred to you that it would be far, far better for the future of the planet if aviation never came back at all? I love to fly, but I gave it up years ago.

If we don't use this opportunity to deal with the ongoing destruction of our climate and our biosphere, when will we?

Sadly, I know the answer far too well - we simply won't deal with it at all. We're going to continue pumping CO2 into the atmosphere until we reach catastrophe, and even then we won't stop.
