Science did not set itself up as the enemy of religion.

For a thousand years, religion has preached against science, while scientists tried to do their jobs.

I might add as a "former U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant", you have been actively participating in a series of failed foreign wars of choice by the United States - wars which have killed literally millions of completely innocent people in my lifetime.

This puts you in the ultra-far-extreme of politics. As a thirty-year New Yorker, I detest Al Qaeda with an unreasoning hatred, but rationally, they killed a fraction of 1% of the innocent people that the US military has.

So you really have no basis whatsoever to be calling anyone "extreme".
