"She chose anger" is the subtext of this vicious little article. "It's not my fault - she just chose to be angry! And then I chose to insult her on the Internet under my real name!"
Every line in the article simply denies any blame.
Note how the writer manages to avoid telling the truth - that her son was drunk:

"The residual effects of the previous night" my ass.
He was a drunk driver who murdered someone. Then the mother of the murderer... did nothing. Did not apologize. Did not try to reach out. Did nothing.
And now she's writing an article about how awful the mother of the murder victim is. Which the grieving mother will no doubt see, since the article is not anonymous.
Reads like revenge to me.
There's no excuse for this article. It's just a mass of self-entitlement, excuses, and blaming other people.
