Sorry this happened to you!

From being in such situations, I'm incapable of not responding. My record was fairly good - I never got actually killed or even seriously injured, though I did get a couple of pokes in the nose and I had some guy shoot at me in Brooklyn (to be honest, I really should have walked away from that one.)

It's anger at injustice, though. I honestly don't think my anger has been overall a good thing. Still, I wish there were more angry bystanders when this happened.

Pro-tip: announce yourself by saying, "I have called the police," even if you haven't. This snaps people out of it quite fast.

I have never owned a car, but if I had, I would have purchased a fire extinguisher just for this sort of event.
