Strong article, lots of good ideas, but you missed a key point - the richest 0.1% are completely in opposition to your rational, logical plan because in that scenario, they are only rich, and the rest of us are comfortable.

You see, they want to be staggeringly rich, and they want to see the rest of us in poverty, in order to accentuate their wealth.

Until the ultra-rich are defanged, by any means necessary, your plan is unfortunately doomed. And since the ultra-rich control law-making and enforcement, any strategy that would work will be rendered illegal. This doesn't mean we can't win, but it does mean that some of us are going to suffer in doing so.
