That seems really terrible to me. It’s not normal for the Netherlands, where we have had an hour of outage in the last two years. It wasn’t normal in Brooklyn — I had a bad provider for a while but when I switched I had seven year of near-perfect service.

I’ve also done quite a bit of travelling and managed to get reliable internet in a lot of countries, including developing ones (of course, we were in touristy areas).

Heck, I spent a summer in Berlin about six years ago and we didn’t experience any such outages!
