The big difference is this: I have never built anything with only a hammer. At the very least I have had to use wood and nails, but usually paint, varnish, planes, chisels, sandpaper, etc etc.

But I have built plenty of things entirely out of Python. No carpenters only use hammers; many very productive programmers only write in Python.

I am polylingual, partly because I am a good generalist, but an awful lot of programmers have absolutely no need for that.
