The idea that the public service does nothing useful is false to the fact.
I understand that you come from Nigeria which is a kleptocracy but you should understand that in Nordic countries the public sector effectively delivers things of great value to its citizens.
I now live in Amsterdam, the largest city in the Netherlands. There's a canal in front of my house where ducks, geese, coots and sometimes seagulls come. We have a family of swans that are growing up here which I see every day.
There are beautiful roads here. Beautiful bike paths - it's faster to go almost everywhere by bike and that's all I do. Garbage is dropped into storage areas underground and picked up with a huge machine - no rats and you don't have to see it.
The police are friendly and competent. They put up with quite a bit. If you get violent or break things, they efficiently pack you up with minimal violence (usually - I'm skeptical about cops in general. But so much better than the US).
All done by the public sector.
If you knew how well people lived in Western Europe, you'd be struggling to get in.
The reason is simple - governments here don't generally steal from the people.
