The word “disruption” is a particularly vile one, because somehow the people who use it think that it’s a good thing.

Let me tell you — no one wants to be working in some profession that gets “disrupted”. What “disrupted” really means is this — “We’re going to destroy a lot of middle-class jobs and replace them by piecemeal, one-at-a-time tasks with no security and no benefits; or replace them by nothing, just automation. Oh, and we don’t give a fuck if we break the law or not, because we have lawyers.”
