There’s no reasonable definition of “manual labor” for which that is true.

More, our tools get better, and re-use and reskinning (using the same underlying properties with surface changes) is always possible.

I was peripheral to the music industry in New York City for some thirty years. I remember all these trombonists and bassoonists certain that samples would never take their jobs. There were buildings where musicians would hang out with their instruments to play on jingles and sessions — you could make a good living that way on pickup gigs.

All gone.

It will take a decade more, but the same will happen to the movie industry too. I wish it were otherwise.
