This is a very interesting article. Nine times out of ten, rewriting your application in another language is a big mistake. But C++ is gnarly. I spent two decades programming in it, I'm some kind of expert, and yet when I explain details to younger programmers, I feel their surprise and horror.

I write Python these days. If I had to start a new performance-critical project with some sort of reasonable time budget, I would probably pick Rust which I don't know over C++ which I do.

And Mr Wu is very clear about his reasoning.

So maybe this is the one out of ten!
