This is one of the most astonishing articles I have ever read from a scientist.

Let's start with Dr. Asimov. His reasoning for proposing a lower population is the same as most people's - to save humans from destruction, not animals.

An inexorable truth that you seemingly deliberately refuse to understand is that unlimited exponential growth is impossible on a finite planet. More, not only is our population growing exponentially at a slowing rate, but individually consumption is also growing exponentially, at an increasing rate.

And what's your counterargument, aside from the Bible which to most people is not actually an argument at all? "You need to have more kids than the people you don't like." And of course, they should have more kids, on the same principle, leading to unbounded exponential growth.

I might add that your callous dismissal of the imminent destruction of a million species of living creature would be shocking, except that we already know that you assign very little value to non-human living creatures. I think this is an offshoot of the Christianity but it's horrifying to anyone with any compassion.

In summary, you have a science article about exponential growth that uses no numbers, no equations, no math, has no citations, no scientific arguments, no links to peer reviewed papers.

Why do you think even one person would take this debasement of science seriously? What does it say about you as a scientist that you could write this, and then read it and show it to people?

As a footnote, I see you mock Isaac Asimov for his "illogical" opinions, a writer whose boots you aren't worthy to clean. Such unfounded arrogance on your part!

No claps. I don't understand how you continue to call yourself a scientist if you believe this provably false twaddle.
