This was a disappointing article, I'm afraid.

There are a huge number of features that no player seems to have, and that people constantly complain about once you got them going.

So where are the specific features of this player?

I had a proposal to shop a new player to someone a few years ago but I never got even to present it, because the money people decided that no one could compete with iTunes. Which was probably right but still disappointing.

As for Spotify and such, they will always have a terrible interface because they will have millions of items, and they'll always rip off the artists, and the sound quality is generally substandard (though to be frank, it's probably "good enough" for 95% of purposes).

Still, have a clap or two, because this is a project dear to my heart.
