Though I agree that the Democrats are in a poor spot, after decades of this, all these explanations for failure ring tired.

I still can't believe there wasn't any significant turnover in the DNC leadership after the complete debacle that was 2016.

At the time I was suggesting that rank-and-file Democratic occupy the DNC en masse and refuse to leave until there was an accounting for the abject failure and resignations of all senior members - or at least people should call them every day and demand they resign.

But "people" were horrified. "We have to stick with these losers even more now."

Instead, there were the "Science" and "Women's" marches. A "demonstration" with permits and no demands is just a parade!

Mind you, I was on the way out of there by then.
