Top Gun glorifies American warfare. In realiity, the US military has pissed away tens of trillions of dollars on their military in a series of wars of choice, and lost every one, but did manage to kill a couple of million completely innocent people.

I feel the same way about Top Gun that I feel about Triumph des Willens - these are movies glorifying murder and war by a powerful, evil empire.
