Trump banned Chinese nationals only, flying only from China. So you could still fly directly from China if you weren't Chinese, or if you were Chinese, you could fly to somewhere else and then to China.

And that didn't work. You quote this one tiny broken bullshit thing that could not possibly having done anything and ignore the fact that Trump did NOTHING ELSE FOR MONTHS and that the US had terrible outcomes as a result.

It was pointless, and it didn't work.
