I'm going to quibble, sarcastically, about just this phrase: while in general I am very positive about using "she" as the default gender, my long experience with women leads me to believe that even stupid women are not so stupid as to play Chicken, that only men have the horrible combination of mindless aggression and an inability to see immediate logical consequences that make this game possible.
