We are destroying our climate and devastating our ecosystem through exponentially increasing consumption and exponentially increasing waste.

Building a space hotel is obscenely consumptive of the world's resources and will generate a truly astonishing carbon footprint, and all for entertaining a tiny number of rich people.

The rich control our world and they are driving it toward destruction at an ever-accelerating rate, and instead of dealing with the issue, they vie for new ways to consume and waste as much as possible.

Fifty years from now, no one will need this explained. The rest of history is going to be spent dealing with the consequences of a very few generations of exponentially increasing consumption and exponentially increasing waste.

We have known what we were doing for two generations, and yet fifty years after the climate catastrophe had emerged as a real threat, you act surprised when people find obsessive, compulsive, performative waste offensive.

Our grandchildren and their grandchildren will curse our names for a thousand years and more.

Unless we act, of course. But looking at the rich assholes, and at everyone else, I think the chances of that are close to zero.
