Yes, of course I knew the proximate cause of death was typhoid. I live in Amsterdam, and you can't escape the presence of Anne Frank or the Holocaust - there are plaques everywhere commemorating regular people who were dragged out of their houses to concentration camps to die.
The Nazis kidnapped a large group of people, put them in a concentration camp, deprived them of even the most basics of sanitation, of adequate sustenance, of clean water, and of almost all medicine. When many of them died of disease, as was planned and expected by the Nazis, morally, ethically and legally, it was deliberate murder.
