We couldn't even go to the Moon today if we wanted to — we don’t have the technology anymore.
Only one vehicle ever designed by humans, the Saturn V, ever got people beyond low Earth orbit, and we stopped making those fifty years ago.
The Moon is about 384,000 kilometers from us. Mars averages about 225,000,000 kilometers from us - about 600 times as far away. A trip there would take seven months, not a couple of days.
Your idea that we just send people there and leave them — how will they possibly live? Mars is a dark, freezing cold, airless, lifeless, arid, radioactive, poisonous desert. Yes, even the sands themselves contain toxic perchlorates.
I feel you’re wildly unrealistic here.
