Well, I'm almost 60 and I've been told this all my life. And yet every year both R and D move steadily to the right. To you, "pragmatism" means accepting that it is hopeless. But many of us aren't ready to give up yet.

Pragmatism means endless war because both R and D love war; it means Wall Street over people for the rest of time, because R and D get paid by Wall Street.

Your pragmatism really just means this: "Suck it up; expect further insults and abuses; give up all hope."
